OQO best for on the road work and play! |

I have had my new OQO for a week now and have found it exceeding my expectations at every turn.
I have the 1.6GHz 64GSSD version of the OQO and it has run everything I throw at it.
I use P-CAD for work and haven't had any real complaints.
For fun, it kicks @$$ as well.
Grim Fandango plays and looks great!
Starcraft also runs flawlessly.
Warcraft III has to be forced to run in windowed mode but runs flawlessly.
Only complaints are the fan noise and one of the fan port locations.
When laying in bed, in a quiet hotel room, at 4 in the morning, that fan sounds like a hair dryer in the other room.
It's not enough to make me quit using it but it can be distracting.
About the fan port... there is a fan port on the right side of the OQO.
Unfortunately, it is placed directly where my right hand rests while holding it and it can get pretty darn hot.
On the whole, I have found this to be a great product and a life saver while on the road.

I purchased the OQO model 2 from Build Your UMPC, This is an amazing computer, it stays with me 24/7. This company (Build Your UMPC) is top notch, they help you instantly, efficiently. The unit was sent out and delivered exactly when they said it would. I would buy from them time and time again.

Our review of the OQO model 02 |

Of all our UMPCs, the OQO model 02 stands far and above the rest when it comes to customer orders. The numbers don't lie and this device proves itself time and time again.
The 5" form factor seems to be the perfect size for people who want a full operating system, keyboard, and embedded WANN.
Since the announcement of the OQO model 02 in February 07, this unit has had rock solid reviews from sources around the world. We, as a major OQO reseller, work with the manufacturer on several levels.
Another very impressive feature of the OQO model 02 is the customer support and level of manufacturer customer service. This manufacturer clearly understands that in order for them to be the next giant computer company, they need to have a responsive customer service model and back it with a benchmark warranty and repair center.
I have and will always stand behind the OQO company. Our involvement with OQO and customers gives us an insight into how dedicated they are.
